Report a factual error, raise a rights concern or request a review of content on RateThailand.

Where to send a request

Email info@ratethailand.com for general enquiries, corrections, privacy matters or legal and takedown requests. For a content-related request, include the relevant page URL and a clear explanation of the issue.

Use a subject line such as “Copyright report”, “Privacy request”, “Factual correction” or “Other legal concern”. Include the exact RateThailand page URL so we can locate the material. A general complaint without an identifiable page or issue may not give us enough information to assess it.

What to include

  • Your name and a working reply address.
  • The page URL and the specific text, image or other material you are reporting.
  • A clear explanation of the issue and the correction, restriction or removal you request.
  • Supporting evidence or links, and whether you act for someone else.
  • Any relevant urgency, court order or legal deadline.

Provide only the personal information needed to assess your request. Please do not send sensitive documents or information about other people unnecessarily.

Privacy and personal information

Identify the personal information at issue, where it appears, and why you believe it should be corrected, restricted or removed. Tell us whether you are the person concerned or are authorised to represent them.

We consider applicable privacy rights, the context of publication and any competing legal obligations. Verification may be needed, but we will seek only information proportionate to the request. See our privacy policy for information about data rights and correspondence.

Corrections and business information

For an incorrect address, opening time, service description or other factual statement, identify the error and provide a reliable source for the correction. Business representatives should explain their relationship to the business.

Disagreement with an opinion, a comparison or a ranking does not itself establish that content is unlawful. We consider factual evidence and rights concerns; payment is not a condition for correcting a verified error.

How requests are assessed

  1. We identify the material and the nature of the reported concern.
  2. We may ask for clarification, supporting evidence or proportionate verification.
  3. Where necessary, we consider the relevant contributor’s response, licence, sources and applicable law.
  4. We take appropriate action and, where possible, explain the outcome to the requester.

Action may include a correction, clarification, replacement, restriction, removal or no change where the report does not justify action. We do not promise a fixed response time; applicable legal deadlines take priority. Urgent safety issues should also be reported directly to the relevant authorities.

Further review and handling of reports

If you believe an outcome overlooked important information, reply with the original report details and the additional evidence. We may retain the correspondence needed to document the handling of the matter, subject to the retention principles in our privacy policy.

Do not submit knowingly false or misleading reports. Nothing on this page limits your right to use a lawful complaint or court process.
